The Luna layout combines your monthly calendar, weekly plans, and a dedicated dot grid notes section in one view, so schedules, lists, ideas, and reminders stay together without flipping pages. Created in response to customer requests, Luna is designed for people who want the clarity of the Scout layout with extra room to write things out.

The Luna is designed for those who want a simple layout with dedicated space to write things out.

This July 2026 – June 2027 academic planner gives you the same simple, at-a-glance structure as the Scout, with a full monthly view on the left and dedicated dot grid notes space on the right.

It’s a layout that keeps your plans visible while giving you room for lists, notes, and anything else that doesn’t fit neatly into a box.

Created in response to customer requests, the Luna offers a more spacious way to plan without overcomplicating your system.

Around here, we like to call it “Mabby’s planner peace.” (iykyk)

Just a heads up: The Luna is our newest planner layout and is currently available in Large only for our Academic collection. Small Luna planners are coming in future launches, beginning with our 2027 yearly collection.

Many customers choose Luna because they want more room to think without giving up an at-a-glance planning layout.

The Scout and The Luna planners are spiral-bound and available in Large and Small sizes. They let you see your monthly calendar at the top and your weekly planning pages at the bottom at the same time, making it easy to connect the big picture with your everyday plans.

Choose Scout if you love seeing as much of your monthly calendar as possible while keeping your weekly plans in view. The monthly layout spans both pages, giving you larger calendar boxes, more space for appointments and events, and letting each week line up with your monthly calendar for easy planning at a glance.

Choose Luna if your planner is just as much for thinking as it is for scheduling. It offers the same layered planning experience while replacing part of the monthly calendar with a full-page dashboard for notes, lists, projects, meal planning, notes, and everything else that doesn't fit neatly into a calendar.

The dashboard is designed to be flexible, so you can use it in whatever way supports your planning style. Customers use it for running to-do lists, project planning, meal planning, reminders, brain drops, habit tracking, work notes, school assignments, journaling, and anything else they want to keep connected to their monthly plans.

Absolutely! The Luna is designed to grow with you.

To make finding compatible accessories easier, Laurel Denise planners use simple size numbers. Large Luna planners use Size 1 accessories, while Small Luna planners use Size 4 accessories.

Once you know your planner's size number, it's easy to shop for reusable plastic inserts, paper inserts, sticky notes, bookmarks, and other Laurel Denise accessories designed to fit your planner.

Most orders ship within 1–3 business days unless otherwise noted on the product page. During launches and other busy seasons, processing times may be longer. You'll always see the most up-to-date shipping estimates at checkout and in our Shipping Policy.

Returns are only available for orders shipped within the contiguous U.S.

This is the layout I’ve been wanting!!! PERFECT for me!! I was worried about the small weekly pages being on the bottom would bother me… but they don’t at all, they are perfect! I had loved the large Nancy but it was a bit big for me. I also thought I needed my weekly view horizontally and was afraid that would mess me up, I actually prefer the weekly spread of Luna now!!

This is my favorite planner I've ever used. The layout works so well for my brain, and I'm actually sticking with using it. I am not a time-blocker or hourly schedule person I've learned, so being able to make a list of my tasks I need to get done each day/week has been working so wonderfully.

This one is verrrry close to my dream planner. The extra blank space for each month is truly a game changer for my brain. I tried a Nancy and felt weirdly claustrophobic with just days and weeks and no unstructured space to spread out. I used a bullet journal for a long time and had a system I liked but it really only worked for one week at a time- I never looked back and my monthly spread so planning beyond one week at a time was not happening. Life keeps getting more complicated and I need some structure to my planner beyond only blank dot grid pages. I am still settling into it but plan to use it for home (3 kids age 8,14, and 20), and work (college professor), and helping out my aging/ailing parents.
