Big Plans: The Official Laurel Denise Blog

Nov 2024

The OMG-You've-Got-To-Try-This List: November 2024

It's mid-November and we haven't quite yet started singing Christmas carols here in the studio, but goodness we are close. We for sure have already started using our Winter Greenery Stickers though! I mean...really they're just suitable for all year. Speaking of things we love, here are some faves for this month from our team to you.

Lolly:

This eye cover up cream situation is so legit, I have no words. It's magic. A bit of an investment, for sure, but it lasts for a super duper long time.

In an effort to accomplish my goal of spending more intentional time as a family this year, I have decided to implement monthly "crafternoons" with my girls. I am printing out an invitation and getting special snacks and everything! For November, I got these little pocket mirrors and these larger mirrors and about a million charms and special glue from this Etsy shop. We are going to decoden the mirrors with the charms! I'm so excited to see how it works! Fingers crossed it's not a huge crafting fail, although some of the best memories are made when that happens.

We just started Hello, Beautiful for book club and so far I really like the writing style!

Honestly. I can't live without these pouches of ours. I am using three in my normal, daily life right now which feels excessive until I remember that I AM excessive and, so, who cares?

This stuff was pure magic for my preteen. Pure magic. Just like the eye cream for my very not preteen face.

Mabby:

It’s that time of year where ALL of the concerts and performances are ramping up. Spirit week, concerts, showcases, and musicals- I have slowly been adding to our “spirit week” bins (they used to be our toddler dress up bins) so they are stocked with pirates, USA, neon, and they even have Adam Sandler spirit day?!?! Anyway, these cutie headbands got added and my girls looked so cute and sporty today for Jersey Day!

Riding that holiday train (like Jenn) and add in the spice of “all the birthdays” in our house in December, and the Checklist Insert Pack has been keeping me SANE. I kid you not, I have 13 immediate family birthdays from November to January including a tripled birthday of my two teens and their grandma! Look for some content on these checklists coming soon!

New book series alert- Caravel by Stephanie Garber. I’ve been on a kick for the past two years where I go all in on an author and so far the first book was fast-paced and kept my interest. Slow burn, but not spicy, so I'll be sharing this one with my teen!

Nancy:

I have been following Justine Doiron ever since she went viral for creating epic butter boards on TikTok and her loving treatment of vegetables like squash and cabbage, as well as her reverence for beans, and kept me eagerly awaiting her email newsletter! So when I heard she was launching a cookbook, I waited a responsible amount of time for getting on the pre-order list (gotta support my girl). I received it in the mail (finally! Pre-order lists are painful) and it is everything I imagined! Gorgeous vegetarian and pescatarian recipes with thoughtful intros by Justine describing her thought process/experience with the food involved. If you’re a little pescatarian cabbage patch girl like me, would totally recommend adding this book to your Christmas list!

I don’t know if you were aware, but Laurel Denise has BANNER STICKERS now and they are the best because you get 12 months of our patterns on cute paper stickers that you can write on and they match our other stickers and GYAH! Setting up my planner month just got a whole lot easier (and colorful!)

Jenn:

I’m totally in full-on holiday shopping mode and on the hunt for unique gifts, especially for those hard-to-shop-for family members! My hubby is a huge sports fan, and while scrolling through my FB feed, I came across an ad for Funko Pop where you can POP! yourself! My daughter and I had a blast making a custom POP! for him, and we can’t wait to see his reaction when he opens it on Christmas! Here’s the link if you want to POP! a family member too.

I absolutely love decorating for Christmas, and this year, I’m extra excited to decorate my Mini Project Planner, too! I’m using the green and blue floral from our Banner Sticker SetDrawing Room Printed Washi Tape Set, blue and green sticky notes from our colorful 7x9 set, and for that extra flair, our Winter Greenery and Let’s Bake stickers! I can’t wait to share my festive spread with you on our YouTube channel once it’s all ready! Stay tuned!

That's all for now, and we'll see you all soon!
