The OMG-You've-Got-To-Try-This List: August 2025

LOLLY:
1. Pipsticks Sticker Subscription. Give me all of the stickers. I want Nancy's stickers (our stickers), I want the ones from the gift shop, and I for sure also want the Pipsticks ones. Gifting myself a monthly subscription to Pipsticks was basically one of the happiest things I've done for myself all year.

2. Every single time I wear this tank, our little corner of the internet explodes. It's the cutest little friend and makes me feel like a fashion influencer, so I share it here with you on this here blog.

3. I've read a few good books lately and think you should read them, too: North Woods, The Paper Girl of Paris, What the Dog Saw, and I'm currently reading The Ministry of Time and feeling VERY into it.

4. Say hello to my new favorite way to use up all those garden tomatoes: slow cooker tomato lentil soup. My neighbor gave me a container of it and I legitimately ate it for breakfast and lunch. On the same day. Already have it in my planner to make next week. Why is it so good? The acidity of the tomatoes is cut by the smallest amount of cream and the delicious lil proteins that are lentils. AND you get to use your crockpot. Pro tips (from my neighbor): use stock instead of water and immersion blend at the end!

5. Back to school = back to reality. The easy summer days are gone and now it feels like my life is just school drop-offs and kids’ sports practices. Which means I’m always on the hunt for quick, healthy, and budget-friendly meals that don’t make me lose my mind.Enter my latest obsession: Trader Joe’s marinated meats.I started with the Carne Asada, literally just threw it in the crockpot, no extras, and let it go for 8 hours. About half an hour before dinner, I dumped in a can of black beans and some frozen corn, made some rice, sautéed a few veggies, and dinner was DONE. The kids actually ate it (!!) and I didn’t spend my entire Sunday meal planning. Now I grab a pack every week. They’ve got so many options: Carne Asada, Pesto Chicken, Shawarma Chicken, etc. I usually make a big batch of rice and veggies at the start of the week, then just switch up the meat each night. Easy, tasty, and no over-thinking it.

6. I just finished this series and enjoyed it so much! desperately don't know what to read now. Send help.

7. This is a season where I'm surviving on coffee, diet dr. pepper, and sushi. I have been forgetting to....drink water...so this guy has helped offset my lack of paying attention.

8. I got this free people mini skirt dupe for my teen and it's amazing. She's finally on board with NOT spending an arm and a leg for, like, 5-inches of fabric. It's a big day.
