Jesse calls her planner "a glorified to-do list," and honestly, we couldn’t love that more. Here’s how she makes it magic: Monthly sticky notes hold all her repeated tasks in the calendar section. Must Do's, Hope To's, and project lists get a permanent home on the right side. Sticky notes on specific calendar days show how much free time (and what kind) she has — so she can realistically plan where to slot in tasks. When a task is complete, the sticky note gets replaced with a handwritten check-off moment. (Because crossing things off is half the joy, right?) Yellow washi tape across the monthly calendar tracks project deadlines, tying it all together in a glanceable, color-coded system. This isn’t just planning — it’s making your schedule work for you.
Tip from Jesse (1/2):
Just in Case Sticky
You just need a spot for all of the random thoughts and notes you have throughout the day that don't necessarily have a home in your planner (yet). I love how Jesse sets up this sticky note on the bottom of her 4-Column page ahead of time so that she has a quick jotter when she needs it.
Tip from Jesse (2/2):
Flexibility
I love how she's used sticky notes for her individual tasks, giving herself flexibility when life happens!
