How to Use Your Planner: College Edition
Welcome to THE University of Laurel Denise. Here's the deal, y'all: You have a lot going on in the college years and so much to balance! It's like list-making dream team time. Let's get into the details for some ideas on how Laurel Denise is the college planner of your actual dreams, shall we?
Meet: Claire
Meet Claire, a nursing student and organizer extraordinaire goals for college students. She breaks down her layouts with big picture events, exams, and time sensitive appointments, etc. in the monthly then tasks for the day in her daily columns. Her weekly schedule lives in the column to the left of her monthly spread so she can reference it daily as well. For fun, Claire chooses a different color to check off tasks every day when they're completed. Just to add another perk to getting things done!
In her "daily habits section," Claire keeps track of a couple of habits, but mostly her amazing workout routine. And the super satisfying key for her color coding. Isn't it dreamy?!

Meet: Rosa
In the notes page of her planner, this girlie Rosa has a detailed study log for every day of the month. This helps to hold herself accountable and also be able to look back to see how much work she's putting in! The "to do this month" column has space for random tasks and also goals for the month. Instead of tracking these things as daily habits, looking at them this way helps her to be able to incrementally work toward her goals in a more manageable way.

Meet: Georgie
This college friend Georgie, is using a Checklist Insert to block out her consistent weekly schedule for the semester. Important dates to remember, when she has class and work, and that all-too-precious free time every day. The erasable highlighters and pens keep things fluid just in case, but this is super helpful so that she doesn't have to constantly re-write her schedule in her weekly spread. The ease of the insert also makes it simple for her to move the page from month to month!

Meet: Tatiana
Our last college student planner spread inspo comes from Tatiana. She has LOTS to track with her practicum and classes, so she's using her planner for all of the things. Her habits section is home to tracking for her logged hours and supervisor check-ins, important group project information, dates to remember, and ideas for future jo jobs.
Because she's responsible for a weekly reflection from her practicum, she uses her back pages to keep notes from month to month. As well as her hours again. She cannot forget to report those!

For more on how these college students spreads are used, check out this YouTube video where we walk you through each spread and the details behind them. Here's a reel from a layout Nancy made last year as well!
We hope this is so helpful as you navigate through all of the college ups and downs. Or share with your favorite college student so they can be inspired :)
