What, seriously, that’s your handwriting?
Oh, yes, yes it is. And I still remember the day that it changed? Wanna hear? Okay, cool. I was in AP history class in 10th grade passing notes to my best friend (because, really, what else do you do in AP History when you’re an artist and not sure how you found yourself in that class in the first place?) and, suddenly, my handwriting had changed. No jokes. It was just different. And tiny. And very tidy. Which I liked. So I kept it up. Took a little longer to write those notes though.
How do you ship?
All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail from Virginia with delivery confirmation. Please allow 48 hours for order processing because things take time, y’all. Orders received on weekends will be processed the following Monday.
Can I buy something if I don’t live in the U.S.?
You sure can! You just have to select “international shipment/no state or province” in the shopping cart. It’s a bit confusing, we know, and it appears that it’s not an option, but we promise it is. Stick with it.
Is everything secure on your website?
Our web developer tells us that all payments are processed using a SSL secure payments processor. I’m not promising to know what that means, just promising that it’s secure and sounds very technical.
I got my order, but it’s not exactly what we pictured? (Return?)
Totally understand. First, we’d love to make it right – want to swap for something? Awesome, let’s do that. If not, we can accept returns five days from the ship date and we definitely want to make sure the item is in original condition. Email us at email@example.com first though – we need a little head’s up.
If you’d still like to return your item, we can do that for sure! We will refund the card used for the original transaction, minus shipping.
Do you charge sales tax?
Gotta pay the man, folks. All orders shipped to addresses in the state of Virginia are subject to a 5% sales tax. Otherwise, there is no tax.
Do you share our information?
Never ever, friends. Never ever. All information submitted to us is kept confidential. No information is ever sold or shared – we won’t share your email address or phone number. Laurel Denise reserves the right to release your information only if required to do so by law because, you know…I have to follow those rules.
How often do you change things?
Goodness, having a schedule of those things would be great, wouldn’t it? Every few months or so I’ll add a new product. And if we’ve come up with a production solution to lower cost, we will change those prices right away. In general, Laurel Denise reserves the right to make changes to this site and its content (including prices, descriptions, and inventory) without notification.
Can I be on your mailing list?
Sure thing! We add all emails from orders received, hope that’s okay! But, don’t worry, it will never be shared with anyone else. We send approximately six emails per year featuring pre-sale and discount information. If you do not wish to subscribe, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “unsubscribe” or unsubscribe when you receive your first email.
Who takes your fab product photographs?
We do! Photography is fun and hard, but we sure do enjoy snapping shots of our goods.
Where do you produce your goods?
Everything is entirely handmade in the U.S. and our studio is in Charlottesville, Virginia.

I love a good instagram photo and you can find me posting things about life and Laurel Denise right here pretty often (beware, you will see many toddler and baby life hilarities in this location). I also keep the Laurel Denise Facebook page up to date with lots of photographs and sale announcements and hellos.
